Abstract
ABSTRACT
The research observed the effect of orientation of the firm and
innovation product characteristic to the new product performance in PT.
Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk - Divre IV Jawa tengah and D I Y. Research
have been done by interviewing a hundred choosen responden generally,
the respondent are senior manager, manager and specialist PT.
Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk - Divre IV Jateng and D I Y. The data
results which have been found are analized by using Structural Equation
Modeling ( SEM ) analysis. It explain the relation of equality between
many of variables / construct that used on the research.
The results of this research showed that there are significant relation
orientation of the firm, innovation product characteristic and new
product performance. The research reveals that a company which
orientation of the firm will be realy giving a positive effect to the
new product performance. While a company which only oriented to
strategic company, it can also be giving a positive effect to the
activity of company too. Obviously, if a company has an product
innovation characteristic, of course it would have an excellent new
product performance.
The research give aproof about an application of capability from
strategic management and marketing concept for a company of
telecommunications company.
Thus the research gives a meaning for Senior Manager, Manager,
Specialist Company that strategic orientation of the firm, product
innovation characteristic, should become the basic and orientation to
increase the strategy of company is new product performance.

ABSTRAKSI
Penelitian ini menelaah pengaruh dari orientasi perusahaan dan
karakteristik inovasi produk terhadap kinerja produk baru pada PT.
Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk - Divre IV Jawa Tengah dan D I Y. Survey
dilakukan melalui teknik wawancara terhadap 100 responden terpilih.
Responden umumnya adalah para senior manager, manager, spesialis pada
PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk - Divre IV Jawa Tengah dan D I Y. Data
basil survei kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknis analisis Structural
Equation Modeling ( SEM ) yang menjelaskan hubungan kausalitas antara
beberapa variabel / konstruk yang digunakan dalam penelitian
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan
antara orientasi perusahaan dan karakteristik inovasi produk terhadap
kinerja produk barn. Riset ini mengungkapkan bahwa perusahaan yang
berorientasi perusahaan ternyata sungguh - sungguh memberikan dampak
yang positif pada kinerja produk baru. Disamping itu, perusahaan yang
senantiasa memiliki karakteristik inovasi produk memberikan dampak yang
positif terhadap kinerja produk barn.
Penelitian ini memberikan bukti tentang kemampuan aplikasi dari
manajemen strategik dan konsep pemasaran bagi perusahaan telekomunikasi.
Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini akan memberikan makna bagi para senior
manajer, manajer, spesialis perusahaan, bahwa orientasi peusahaan dan
karakteritik inovasi produk hams dijadikan dasar dan pedoman bagi
peningkatan kinerja produk baru.
Kata kunci : orientasi perusahaan, karakteristik inovasi produk dan
kinerja produk barn.
